The City of Cordova, Department of Parks & Recreation manages and maintains a wide range of facilities around the district that provide opportunities to get active and make the most of what this special place has to offer. Whether you’re a gym bunny, a swimmer or a splasher, a team player or solo runner, a weekend hiker or a keen boatie there’s something for you in Cordova.
Cordova has beautiful parks and open spaces, great for all kinds of activities, including walking, biking, playing and more. We manage and maintain a number of parks and open spaces within the City including:

Camping Around Cordova
Eyak Lake Skater’s Cabin
Location: Power Creek Road, Cordova (marked on Google Maps as NF-S-839)
Eyak Lake Skater’s Cabin is a City operated, log cabin rental located on the Eyak Lake shoreline.
This rustic cabin is equipped with a wood stove, bench and electricity and has an outdoor toilet. The cabin does not have running water. Outside the cabin is a public beach area with picnic table, fire pit and BBQ
Visitors must bring their own water, food, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cook stoves, matches, cooking gear/utensils, lanterns or flashlights, toilet paper, first aid kit and garbage bags. Firewood maybe pre-purchased from the Department of Parks and Recreation prior to arrival at the cabin. Maximum overnight capacity is 8.
Daily Use Fees
Maximum stay is 3 days.
- 1 Night Rental: $25
- 2 Night Rental: $60
- 3 Night Rental: $110

Odiak Camper Park
Location: Whitshed Road, Cordova
The City owns and manages the camping sites and facilities at the Odiak Camper Park. This RV camping area is open during summer only and primarily used by seasonal commercial fishermen and their families. Parking space includes electric hook up. Restrooms, showers, water supply and a basic play area are located at the facility.
Usage: May 1 – September 30.
For the 2021 Season the fees are as follows:
Short Term (<30 days)
RV: $27 per night (including power)
Tent: $11 per night
Long Term (>30 days)
RV: $26 per night + 0.20c per kWh
Security Deposit: $950
