The Cordova Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD)

CVFD has 2 Fire Stations to cover our 72 square mile service area. Led by Fire Chief Stephen Phillips and Deputy Fire Chief Micah Renfeldt, between 20-30 volunteer firefighters and medics work directly with the City’s Fire Marshal and a City-employed firefighter/medic to provide 24/7 Fire and Ambulance service to the community. CVFD includes a Rescue Company, Engine Company, and EMS Company. Available apparatus include Rescue 1, Engine 3, Engine 14, Medic 7, Medic 8, Tanker 9, Water 1, ATV 1, and Harbor 10.

The Fire Department structure falls under City Code Title 3 Chapter 3.20.0

CVFD meets every Thursday night at 7:30 pm in the Firehall, and active members regularly attend ongoing training and drills.

For information or questions, please contact the Fire Department at 907-424-6117.
