The City of Cordova invites the community to attend a free public presentation:
“Tsunamis in Alaska and Around the World”
Presented by Dr. Elena Troshina of the Alaska Earthquake Center
Tsunamis are not just distant disasters—they can strike Alaska’s coastal communities with little warning. As the largest tsunami-generating state in the U.S., Alaska faces a very real and present risk. This presentation will cover the history of tsunamis in the region, the science behind their formation, and the steps individuals and communities can take to prepare.
