Heney Creek Bridge Inspection & Repairs – May 6 & 7
The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) will be conducting inspections and repairs on the Heney Creek Bridge (approx. Mile 2, Whitshed Road) on Tuesday, May 6, and Wednesday, May 7, from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM each day.
Bridge Closure Schedule:
The bridge will be closed to all traffic during the following time blocks:

7:00 AM – 9:00 AM

10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
The bridge will be open for one hour between each closure. Please plan accordingly and allow for travel time during open periods.
These closures are necessary to ensure the safety of the public and work crews while essential inspection and repair work is underway.
Trash Pickup Update
Residents whose trash is normally collected on Wednesdays and who live past the Heney Creek Bridge will have their pickup rescheduled to Thursday, May 8.
