In order to ensure clean, safe, and healthy water, the City of Cordova Water Department will be performing essential periodic maintenance on the Meals water reservoir from September 25 to October 6, 2023.
Throughout this period, the water crew will be cleaning the reservoir. This process involves the removal of sediments and debris from the bottom of the lake.
There will be motor vehicles and other equipment hauling materials up and down the reservoir access road.
Please observe safety measures while hiking between 8 AM and 4 PM and avoid going into the empty reservoir with animals to prevent water contamination.
