The Cordova Center: A Community’s Dream Realized

After twelve years of anticipation, the Cordova Center project became a reality in 2015. It was truly a ‘Community Inspired Development.’ This multi-use facility can accommodate the Cordova Public Library, the Cordova Historical Society, municipal administrative offices, theater and art performances, and conference/meeting spaces that can hold up to 200 guests.

Construction of the exterior, Phase I, began in September 2010 and concluded in October 2012. Phase II started in July 2014 and finished in mid-2015. It included the completion of interior spaces, as well as mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work. The Cordova Center is a testament to the community’s dedication to diversifying the economy, stabilizing the population, and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
